| Drew Nener is a designer and maker of contemporary furniture. Bold combinations of wood and metal characterize the meticulously crafted designs of this emerging artist. |

With a keen interest in architecture, particularly the Art Deco and Modernist Movements, Drew graduated from Carleton University in 1993 with a combined degree in art history and architecture. Building upon this education, Drew expanded his design and technical skills at Sheridan's School of Crafts and Design through instruction by some of the country's finest craftspeople. Drew has participated in juried and small class shows in the Toronto area and has won several awards, including a prominent commission. |
| Drew is passionate about rethinking conventional types of furniture. Elevating function to greater levels, he has created room divider screens with adjustable panels and magazine storage units which celebrate the glossy covers of favorite issues. The end results are sleek, unadorned works where the beauty lies in custom designed hardware - the subtle tension in the transitions between wood and metal elements and the ultimate functionality of these works. In Drew's world, nothing is without purpose. |

Drew gains inspiration from everyday surroundings and focuses on the obvious to develop his unique pieces. “I am always on the lookout for unique solutions to design challenges. Using basic needs as the springboard, I strive to combine straightforward, functional design with curious and intriguing elements " Says the furniture maker. |
| Drew operates a furniture studio in Montreal. |
